VOC concentration of solvent recovery wheel handling units

Releasing organic solvent into the atmosphere will bring adverse effects to both human beings and the global environment. To reduce or eliminate the gas containing VOC ( volatile organic compound) is a difficult thing, so people often release it to the atmosphere directly. VOC solvent concentration recovery wheel handling unit is such a device: it can concentrate the large-volume low-concentration volatile organic compound gas into small-volume high- concentration gas. We combine the concentration recovery wheel handling unit with the traditional exhaust gas handling method, so that it can effectively eliminate all kinds of volatile organic compound produced in industrial production. The core technologies of VOC solvent concentration recovery wheel are from Nichias: Nichias authorizes Wuxi Lianzhong humidity-controlled and energy-saved equipment Ltd. to operate its VOC solvent concentration recovery wheel and dehumidifier wheel and provides technical support.

The application of VOC solvent recovery processing unit in the painting room

There is a lot of exhaust gas containing organic solvent during paint spraying, directly releasing it into the atmosphere will cause environmental pollution; On the other hand, the paint spraying room needs to control the humidity and temperature, so it must consume a lot of energy to deal with the added fresh air into the paint spraying room.

For example, in the traditional painting room, if the emission volume of exhaust gas is 20,000 stere per hour, the added fresh air into the paint spraying room is about 15,000 stere per hour, that is to say the fresh air needed to be dealt with is about 15,000 stere per hour. Because of big air volume, the energy consumption is also big.

The character of this process is that after handling, 80% exhaust gas of paint spraying room can be sent back to the room as fresh air. The paint spraying room can achieve the following effects after adopting VOC solvent handling device of Lianzhong Company:

The organic content of exhaust gas is less than 50ppm;

  The energy consumption of handling fresh air is reduced by more than 70%.

NMP, which is widely used in lithium-ion battery  production process, has a high boiling point of about 200 , the conventional recovery system isnt able to recycle it. If recycling NMP gas by refrigeration, its concentration in the exhaust gas will be as high as about 200% and will easily lead to explosion. In the lithium battery pole coating process, more than 95% organic solvent N-Methylpyrrolidone volatilizes into the exhaust gas, so this will cause environmental pollutions and do harm to human beings, on the other hand, it will cause waste of the organic solvent. The VOC solvent recovery unit (organic exhaust gas handling equipment) produced by Lianzhong company has been successfully applied to the lithium battery production process.

The application of VOC solvent recovery processing unit in the printing, shoemaking and rubber industry

Printing, shoemaking and rubber process require using the organic solvent which often adopts volatile organic compound of low boiling point, such as toluene, xylene, acetone, butanol, ethyl acetate and so on. As the majority of the existing domestic or imported printing, shoemaking and rubber machines are all not equipped with the corresponding purification devices, so a lot of exhaust gas containing toluene, xylene, acetone, butanol, ethyl acetate and other organic components are released to the atmosphere directly during the production process.

 Medical research shows that: If the human touch the exhaust gas containing toluene, xylene, acetone, butanol, ethyl acetate and other organic components for a long term, it will bring serious harm to the nervous system and hematopoiesis function. So, in the 90s, the Occident required the printing and ink, shoemaking, rubber manufacturers to meet the following requirements by environment protection laws:

The smell of the organic solvent outside the workshop is not allowed.

The concentration of volatile components in the workshop should be less than 50mg/m3.

    After the organic exhaust gas handling equipments of Lianzhong company are installed in the printing, shoemaking and rubber workshop, the organic content in the exhaust gas is controlled within 10mg/m3, fully meeting the health requirement, so the air can be sent back to the workshop for recycling use after handling.

The application of VOC solvent recovery processing unit in the chemical industry research laboratory

In the program to unify local research institutes and to establish a new general research laboratory, the abatement system of VOC exhaust gas generated from draft chamber of laboratory room shall be required.

  VOC concentration and recovery system by Activated Carbon Fiber ( ACF ) is to be introduced for this application.

In this case, the concentration of exhaust gas generated from draft chambers is a fairly low at 150 ppm, but total air volume of the exhaust gas is high at 55,200 Nm3/h.

Therefore VOC gas abatement system requires VOC concentrator to achieve the control level.

Since VOC gas contains various kinds of gas including chlorine based solvents which are unable to oxidize by combustion, a concentrator and solvent recovery system by ACF is to be selected.

The concentrator in this system employs two types of hydrophobic zeolite wheels so that the concentrator can achieve to concentrate any types of solvent. The concentrator enables the large volume of exhaust gas to be a small volume and a high concentrated gas, making subsequent treatment easier. The solvent recovery system in the system after concentration employs ACF to achieve a high efficiency for recovery. The recovery unit has a compact design with high performance at economical cost.

The application of VOC solvent recovery processing unit in the IC card production process

The VOC concentration with catalytic combustion system installed in a new facility that manufactures magnetic cards ( telephone card, etc). The coating lines within this process generate  toluene, MEK and MIBK adopt this system.

The gas is 25,200 Nm3/h and has 550 ppm solvents. A VOC abatement system is required to prevent air pollution to the global environment and complaints of unpleasant odor from local residents. If catalytic combustion is used alone, the equipment become extremely large, the combustion efficiency is low and the initial cost and running costs are significantly high.

 On the other hands, VOC exhausted gas is concentrated up to 2,000 ppm with 6,000 Nm3/h air volume and is decomposed by catalytic combustion system. This system can achieve the high efficiency at less expensive initial and running cost.

The application of VOC solvent recovery processing unit in the lacquer production process

Concentrator with high temperature regeneration function and Thermal Oxidizer are the system which can concentrate and oxidize exhausted VOCs containing high boilers.

This unit can treat VOCs exhausted from paint manufacturing process including various kinds of solvents such as MIBK, MEK,IPA, Toluene, etc. In the manufacturing process of urethane type paint, VOCs which are hard to be desorbed under normal regeneration temperature (180~200) such as Isocyanates are contained in the exhausted gas, and efficiency can be gradually reduced by heel. In order to remove such VOCs which are not desorbed sufficiently, adsorbents should be regenerated regularly with 300 of high temperature and thus reduction of efficiency can be prevented.
